That event is $160? That seems like a bit much for an event that includes nothing but meals.

The SAAB events are much better (especially the ones that my club organizes). The NYSOC events are always free and made for aggressive driving. Saabtoberfest costs money, but it's only about $15 with lunch inluded. Any event that costs more than that usually involves some dyno runs, autocross, and/or a car show.

Last weekend, we (NYSOC) started planning the Can/Am run. Starting in Lake George, we go through Vermont up the Champlain Islands up to Canada. Then we drive on local roads to Montreal and stop for the night. Next day we head over to Ottawa and then enter back into NY from there. The run is hella nice and free. You just have to pay for a hotel (we are negotiating a group rate) and a couple meals.
