I think this is interesting to hear you say that. Look at it like this: Yours was the very situation they were trying to protect by the 50hz cap. You think you might have actually blown a tweeter because of the DSP bug when you turned the EQ down to 18hz. So they cap it at 50 so you can't hurt yourself any more, yet you decide you'd rather stick with beta 13 so you won't have that limitation. Very interesting.
