Go see the Grand Canyon, whatever you do, make sure you see the big hole.

Nah, take the northern route through Reno and the Sierra Nevada. Detour about 15 minutes at Truckee and spend a day at Lake Tahoe. If you like to gamble, there are casinos on the state line in North Lake and South Lake, so you can just skip Vegas.

Then again, Vegas *is* worth seeing. Tough call. No easy way to do both...
