Okay. But isn't ``auxprop'' supposed to do that without having a separate daemon running (which I'd prefer to avoid as it's on an already overloaded Pentium 166)? And if so, why isn't it working?


That's a good question. The guy I should ask is out, though, at least at the moment. Still, if you can configure that way and send strace output I can probably take a stab at it. Or I could just mail you some memory
