Thanks guys! I never thought of the docking connectors! I guess over time it would make sense for those to get gummed up. I already have a direct ground to my battery for the empeg. If I do the power as well, what size fuse do you recommend?

I'm feeling a little better about this now. I'm going to check out the possible hard drive issues too.
