To be perfectly honest, I never tried it. I usually use Windows 2000 (now XP) to sync over USB. I never really bothered trying to get jemplode to work with that combination.

It might work, given that it seems to be more of an emplode issue than the player app. This is based on the player app being able to rebuild the database from command line, but not from (an aborted) sync.
