I'm thinking of investigating some sort of tap into the A/C system and having a small tube feeding the cage where the Empeg sits to help cool it off....Any suggestions for that?

Just Don't Do It™. I've seen this idea numerous times on various carputer sites. There are two good reasons not to do this:

1. When you pump air conditioning into a confined space like that it can get very cold, very fast. Combine that with a humid day, and you have a recipe for condensation. I've seen a car stereo fried in less than 24 hours by doing this.

2. Most people forget that the same ductwork that contains cold air in the summer, contains warm air in the winter. Repeat earlier statement about confined spaces and you have an extremely hot empeg.

If you want to at extra cooling to your empeg, just install a fan.

By the way, beautiful install. Good work.
