They should start treating major labels as what they are: not very good marketing/PR companies.


Think of this as a good thing. It's just one more example of the music industry (i.e., major labels and their henchmen, the RIAA) shooting themselves in the foot, bringing just a little bit closer the day when the whole music distribution paradigm changes and the major record labels become a thing of the past.
