Heh. You're assuming that I have the original remote for the device in question. I don't. That's the problem. But even if I did have the original remote, there wouldn't be enough memory in the RS remote to learn every single button code. Its learning memory is fairly limited, it's meant just to learn a few commands, not an entire remote's worth (number keys and all, mind you).

In my case, the device is an old Uniden C-band satellite receiver. Replacement remotes are really hard to find for it. I'm still not sure if that hack page is going to give me the answers I seek, but I'm working on it.
