I can FTP to the player. And I can change directories with the default FTP. Using ncftp it seems to just sit there after trying to cd (to /drive0 for example). I can't seem to get a listing of what's on the emeg using command-line FTP though (no ls, no dir). I did find a thread where you suggested someone try sending hda5 up manually.

Trying that I get exactly this:

Quote:

ftp> put _dev_hda5 hda5
local: _dev_hda5 remote: hda5
500 Bad command.
200 Okay.
150 Opening data connection.

And right now it's just sitting there. Not sure how long it's supposed to take...

Hopefully I didn't just stuff the player. Since using this Mac as my primary machine I've really let my Windows systems go downhill. I'm not even sure I have emplode installed on the current systems for example. Which also means I've got to go searching for the serial cable and make sure when I find something that it's actually the right one and not some other random cable that only LOOKS like the right one.

I can still navigate the web interface while ftp hasn't returned...

Do I need anything special in the config.ini? I haven't added anything in there in years and I've certainly made no mods for any of the more recent versions of hijack (again, I'm running 461)
