Strange...when lightning struck at my place and fried my TiVo, my VCR, my TV and my Karma, one of the only things that survived was my linksys router.

My good friend that lives about a mile away has been struck twice, both times frying his equipment through a Tripplite surge protector. Guess the only piece survive both....yep, the Linksys router.

maybe it's just luck, but in my experience at least, those things are hard to kill.
