I'm not the seller, but I can tell you from experience that international buyers have been nothing but trouble for me on ebay.
I sold an explicitly broken laptop on ebay, shipped it to Sweden only to have it returned because the address provided by the buyer was insufficient. I reshipped it at my expense, only to have him complain about the condition of the laptop.
I sold a underwater strobe to a guy in england, only to have him want to be compensated because he hadn't read my explicit instructions to check and make sure the strobe would work with his camera before purchasing. This was exacerbated because he wanted me to cover shipping both ways back to the US manufacturer, and the upgrade.
I bought a GPS antenna from a guy in Spain because it was the cheapest one available, and he seemed to regularly ship to the US. It never showed up after multiple emails.
On top of all that, you've got to make a special trip to the post office for international shipments, instead of dropping them off at the neighborhood drug store or having them picked up.
I'm not saying all international transactions aren't worth it (My sister still uses the D60 on a weekly basis) but I've had a lot more trouble with them compared to domestic transactions and I can see not wanting to deal with it on ebay.
