That's not fair. The HR2x had a bad start, but they're entirely usable and dependable now. Some features are better than tivo, and some are not. I have two HR20s and one HR21 on my account... no more tivos of any kind.

Most units that you purchase for $150-199 are leased units. You don't actually own it. The HR21Pro is ownable for about $400 if that turns you on.

DirecTiVos are cheap on ebay these days. I have been selling a few over the past month and the action in the auctions isn't so hot.
