So the thread about how electric blankets shut off made me think one would be a good gift for my wife who is cold all the time. The thermostat is set to 70 and she's still cold.

I have never used or looked at these things before so can anyone recommend a one for just using on the couch.

I read something about there being low voltage ones which sounds like a good idea but it appears only one kind (softheat) does it this way. Being covered with high voltage wires sounds scary I would guess they all have GFIC or some kind but the thought of spilling a drink on it is scary.
