Maybe Microsoft will release a 7" tablet. But they haven't prepared any developers (that we know of) for that size, with both Surface announcements comprised of 10.6" displays.

The important differences between Apple and Amazon in the tablet space are that Apple won't release hardware that's a dog. And they won't sell it at a loss. That's great for consumers and great for stock holders.
