Agree with that. A couple of months ago I replaced the Core2 mobo in our MythTV box, along with the massive heatsink/fan that was used to keep it quiet. This got replaced with an i7-4770 using just the stock heatsink. Now the hard drives sound annoyingly "loud" instead.
