Thanks for the review. I agree that no-frills would be refreshing. I only have 2 domains that I admin (for my wife's theatre company), so switching wouldn't be a high priority, just to get no-frills. And, though I like Who-is privacy, I haven't noticed any significant intrusions from my currently open registrations.

Were I to need to register them now, I'd probably start with Google, simply due to branding -- since I'm not deeply involved in the web space, I don't know who the "good" companies are, so Google would win out.

Anyway, good to know the option exists, at least.
