If I rename the directory containing the Twain driver for the Epson scanner, then everything works (except for the Epson scanner, of course.

So, I wrote a batch file that will rename the escndv directory to XXescndv, and another one to name it back. The batch files work like a charm...
as long as I am in the C:\Windows\Twain_32 directory with an administrator command prompt.Is there a way to change the permissions on the Windows\Twain_32 directory so that I, a mere user with non-elevated administrator privileges, can write and modify files in that directory without doing battle with the security nanny? Or is there a way that I can have what would be called Super-User privileges in a *nix box?
