Christian, I just noticed one other thing about that animation that might be a factor in making it look good on the player.

Your animation uses the "Windows Palette" shades of gray for the darkgray and lightgray shades. These don't translate well to the car player screen, because its two shades of gray are not like the ones in the Windows palette.

If you were building the animation from something that was originally a color or full-grayscale image, I recommend that you use a custom palette when color-reducing it.

To create this custom palette, draw a fresh frame in the animation editor using all four colors, then export that frame as a PNG file. Open that PNG file in your image-editor software and use those colors as the basis for your custom palette.
