I would try re-enabling/reinstalling the Messenger. See what happens

Same ol' slowness trying to access the intranet and printer... Oh well thanks for the advice, I'm thinking of switching drives to one of WD that was mentioned cheap at Dell, so maybe I'll reload everything and start over. I've already got one on the D drive for video editing...
