You can get your medical having high blood pressure as long as you are on medications that are FAA approved (at least in the states) and a recent EKG.

Regretably, my blood presure is too high and unstable even under medication (you know, the standard cocktail: beta-blockers, diuretics and those enzyme inhibitors, I forgot which). And if they do manage to bring it low enough to satisfy the rules, I feel very drowsy. So, the planes are to me something like porn: I can only watch :) (I once managed to fly a 250 miles hop in a jump seat in Airbus A320 cockpit. Wow, what a videogame! :)

As for the proposal, at the moment I am quite happy with someone who happens to be building a RV4 kit plane and restoring a damaged bi-plane so maybe I will end up going for my license again someday.

Lucky guy! BTW, is RV4 that small metal taildragger that reminds somewhat of Extra-300? Wow, it will be even better pocket rocket than your Nova!
