When I restart (and possibly after I sync - can't remember) jEmplode, it remembers which column I sorted by, but not whether it was an ascending or descending sort.

IWBNI it remembered which previous sorts had been used, to disambiguate otherwise equal items (e.g. if I sort by year, then by artist, I have a nice ordered artist/year list, but if I do anything to change the list, it goes back to artist/random).

Oh, and the "playlist jumps to top of table when a member is moved" bug reappeared some time ago (v34 or earlier). Sorry I didn't report this earlier.

Oversight on my part about not saving sort direction.

However in the second part, it sounds like you want multiple sort columns at the same time (by artist, then by year)... This may be a little tougher... Am I reading your request properly?

I fixed a "playlist jumps to the top" for something else, but I don't remember what it was (maybe editing properties?)... I guess this is a slightly different problem. When you say "a member is moved" what command are you actually referring to -- this move up/move down buttons?

It's just a suggestion, so if it's hard, don't get too bothered by it. It's just that it'd be nice to (e.g.) view another playlist and copy a file from it, then return to the previous playlist and have it be in the same order as I left it. I think I found that items with the same value in the sorted column were moving relative to each other when I edited their other properties.

Yes, exactly. It was the changelog note you (correctly) recalled, about this issue with changing properties, that reminded me that I hadn't mentioned the return of the up/down keys/buttons bug.

I'll take a look at the first one ... The second one I can definitely fix for the next release.

I put the XML Exporter in -- it's called TMSXMLExporter .. You didn't even give yourself props in the @author tag, so I went ahead and put your name in there

As far as the move up/move down -- Can you give me the exact scenario? I found a playlist that was larger than my screen, scrolled down towards the bottom, selected a node and hit the Ctrl-Up, tried Edit=>Move Up and Right-Click=>Move Up (and down) and it stayed at the right location. Are you doing anything different than what I described here? What VM are OS are you running on?

I'm doing exactly that - Ctrl-Up or toolbar up-arrow. What I see is that I get the top of the table briefly displayed, and then back to where I was. It's just a brief flicker, but if I try to move a node up, say 20 or 30 places, it can take 10 seconds longer than it does to press Ctrl-Up those 20 or 30 times.

I'm running Blackdown-1.3.1-FCS on Linux 2.4.18 (Debian "woody" distribution).

How does one select which XML exporter gets used? Is it a .jempegrc item, or does it get its own menu entry?

Currently there are "Export Emplode XML..." and "Export XML..." menu items.

I wonder if the Windows VM or my machine is faster on screen refresh so I just don't notice it ... I'll look more at it.
