After having to get my girl fixed I do not want to risk any kind of shock happening to my Rio car. I know in the car all that I can do is try to avoid bumps etc..... but from my car to my house etc.. I really would like to get a nice case that is like a tackle box and lined with foam...sort of like how instruments are packed....anyone know of such a beast? I guess I could always make one.

What you want is a PELICAN brand case. These are normally designed for photo equipment, and they are exactly what you described.

Plus, if it is large, bulky, unwieldy, and incredibly macho-looking,
then you won't have to worry that casual passersby could have any
questions in their mind about your extreme heterosexual manliness.

Though you might want to staple a couple of centerfolds on the sides
and maybe bolt a grenade on one edge just to be sure no one gets the
wrong idea about you.

When I got my Pelican case the shop (actually more of a factory, making custom wood/alu cases for exhibitors etc) also had a range of simpler cases - also hard shell and foam lined, but not as rugged as the Pelican cases, nor water and air tight.

Look around, should be able to find something...

Do a "Pelican" search on the BBS and you should find a fair bit of discussion.
I remember seeing pics of two sizes (1200 & 1400) to compare fit.
I use mine to carry from car to house, and when security is required (lockable).
I also have a cheap CaseLogic soft padded bag that easily fits into my backpack
for when at work.

Think of the higher cost as Insurance; and there's only the one Premium!
