I actually don't know his stock status on red lenses. The site still says available for a limited time. If he's not selling them any more, I'd think he would tell me to take down the link...

I wouldn't pass, I just received 2 pieces of colored plastic from Steve and I love each, smoked and neon red. I love the colors so much, I think I will probably order a few more while I still can. And if you order one, it’s the same shipping price for 2

i see. your one of those people that feel people should go above and beyond the call of duty to make something special for a bunch of people he doesn't know and then sell his product for a loss.

Remember that you're not paying for the plastic, you're paying for the time and expense of cutting it to the correct shape. Try buying some colored plastic stock and cutting it yourself. You'll quickly discover that $30.00 is a bargain when you factor in your time and the tools necessary.

i just bought three and i know i'll be happy with them. smoke, light blue, and deep green. somehow, i can't find them in any stereo shops?!? turns out they're custom made

I've said it before, I am amazed that someone will pay hundreds or even over 1000 dollars for a stereo, but not $30 for the right lens. Darkstorm is not making much of a profit. I would have paid twice as much for the right lens. By the way, I have bought 10 from Steve.

Don't think of it as a lump as plastic as it expensive for a lump of plastic as your empeg is merely a collection of lumps of silicon metal and plastic.

See it as a service towards you and price becomes very reasonable.

By the way, I just realize I forgot to post a comment on the

GEL SPECIAL MEDIUM LAVENDER.

It is nealy PERFECT for the VW BLUE, or at least for that of my Polo III 1.4. Since when I received I never took it off. The color is FANTASTIC! It is completely worth its price, as all the others I purchased from Drakstorm. And, as I said, if you have a VW it looks so close you have to try to see the difference on purpose and stop to look at it carefully.

Is that on a clear or smoke base? How's the viewability in daytime?

Clear.
Less viewable than the factory blue, but good enough to be used without any problem unless the sun is shining directly on the screen. And I am quite picky with viewability. Again, personally, I am very very happy.

Hmm.. I really like the selection of colors on the Darkstorm site. It would be great if Darkstorm added another column that says: "recommended for Audi.." "recommended for BMW.... VW..." etc etc.. so people should report what works and that way buyers won't sit there scratching their heads as to what to purchase. Just a suggestion.

Maybe I should set a scale of 1 to 10. 10 being a perfect match. Then I could average them and put them on the site.
