In 2.0b11, I turned on autochange visuals to 'on track change'. Since then, I have been unable to turn it off. I've upgraded to 2.0b13 to no avail...

I've never reproduced this one. I have been able to turn it on and off at will. Anyone else?

Others have reported it so I don't know.... when I go back to the menu, even if I haven't rebooted, 'off' is always selected, yet that's not really what's chosen.

Am I the only one with this bug? Where does the empeg store its settings? If its on some partition, can I just format it and re-upgrade?

Unfortunately I dont have an empeg handy for the next couple weeks so I cant test this out.
This may be totally obvious, and if it is I am sorry, but does the empeg show the current mode in the menu, or does it always start at off, regardless of current setting. Do you actually select the 'off' setting, or do you just exit the menu as it looks like it is already set to 'off'. Once again, sorry if this is obvious, I dont mean to insult, just something I though of.

Well, that stinks . Is there anyway to have the empeg revert to default settings or anything like that?

Here is a customized Hijack, just for you, that nukes the flash settings EVERY RESTART/REBOOT.

http://empeg-hijack.sourceforge.net/v286-nukeflash.zImage

Install it, reboot once, verify your problem is gone, and then re-install a proper kernel again.

Cheers
