I tried posting this once but it didn't seem to take... I misplaced the serial cable that came with my empeg. Can I use a regular serial cable with a gender changer or is there some abnormal pinout values I need to be aware of... Any info appreciated..

Thanks,

Greetings!

Actually, it is a null modem cable. A standard item, but you need to make certain that you ask for a null modem. Basically, there are crossovers in the transmit and receive pins, and maybe a few control pins. Worst case, ask for a "LapLink serial cable" and that would work too.

It's a standard 9-pin null-modem serial cable.
