Can't you just put in any number you want ? I can't remember if I had to have the right serial number or not.

If I'm not mistaken, isn't the serial number it's asking for the serial number of your player?

That's what it asks for I assumed he knew that and just didn't have the SN anymore I know mine has rubbed off. But maybe that's the problem that he thought it was like a license number or something I didn't think of that.

Dave, as others have said, the number it's asking for is the serial number of your car player.
