Anyone know how to fix track numbers on my empeg? Ideally, I'd like to select an album, and then say "please assign the track number for this album the same as the position number..."

Any way to do this without opening each track and manually changing each tag?

Guess I was wrong.

There is a fairly-new "Set Playlist Order" feature, but it doesn't write to the track number field that I can tell, sorry.

Perhaps I was thinking of a Jemplode feature? If not, seems like it would be do-able.

Another option is to download the tracks from Jemplode using a POS:2 field and then do a filenames-to-tags pass on it with MP3 Tag Studio.

No, I've never had to fix the track numbers on my empeg. I always have them right to begin with, before the tracks ever go onto the empeg.

Since the track number field is not used by the empeg player software, all I care about is the position order anyway, and I get that right via the file names.

I requested this last year.
