With the recent discussion on Tesla coils, I thought you guys would appreciate this link (from Slashdot).

This guy is powering his AMD with a Tesla coil.

In the first picture (if it were real), the second tesla coil (on the right) doesn't have any electronics hooked to it whatsoever. If they were real Tesla coils, would this be accurate, or would the second coil have to be active somehow (as opposed to just a hunk of metal).

Nah. If you actually look at where the pictures are hosted, you'll see they're in totally different servers

Powering any kind of delicate electronics off a Tesla coil discharge would be insane!
