If wishes were horses, dreamers would ride. And of course, there'd be a lot of horse droppings on this BBS. Nonetheless, I'm in wishing mode today, so...

1) "Info: Line" scroller: Have all the details of the song, not just artist/track name.

2) When using the "Now and Next" display, have that scroller on there, too. Seeing as how the fifth line of the Now and Next screen disappeared, there's now this empty space there just begging to be used.

If (2) would be visually distracting enough to preclude the recently-added ability for the unit to default to "Now and Next" mode in the car, then I withdraw the wish in favor of simply re-instating the fifth line on that screen.

I can't tell every song on my empeg just from the title - asd that's just a 6GB unit - god knows what I'll do with a 36GB!

How about both then? I find myself switching between Now & Next and Track, so that I can tell which artist the song is from.

Personally I like Now & Next, but I can't use it as it is.

If you do start "enhancing" now and next please make sure that it is done as a new info visual rather than replacing the existing one.

Perhaps many of my tracks have short titles, but I personally think:

"track name: truncated artist name"

would be useful. Even when only a couple of letters of the artist name is available it would still be useful.

So we could have three options:
-Short now and next
-Now and Next + artists
-Now and Next + current artist (as per Hugo's suggestion)

Personally my vote is for the one Hugo suggested, but I really like both (hugo's and the truncated artist).

I think that andy has a point about not changing the current one - I couldn't stand having Tony after my blood .

Great compromise. I like it.

Under one condition: That the bottom line gets re-populated again so we don't lose yet another song title on that screen. We went from five to four, I'd hate to go down to three.
