Surely you could find an XM tuner that presents audio out of RCA plugs, which the empeg could then use as its AUX input.

or better yet, maybe pca will make a xm radio add on module for his tuner

Bitt, there aren't many. A search of Crutchfield reveals two units - which is more than I found a few months ago when looking for an XM tuner that did exactly that. One of these units is Sirius, though, not XM.

Everything else I could find is either compatible only with specific aftermarket head units or works through an FM modulator.

If one was looking for that sort of thing. I was, but... I don't like Sony, or Jensen. And since I've decided to replace my CD receiver, I'm going to choose one that's XM ready.

Get the Alpine CDA-7977. Thats what I got and it is XM ready. All you gotta do is buy a $10 cable to used the alpines cd changer as AUX ( KCM121 is the cable # I think ).. Here is a pic just for you.
