On my way home today (about 15 minutes) the empeg suddenly didn't do anything. I was listening to a song I often played before. Then all of a suddden the player stopped. No sound output, buttons not working, remote not working, diplay frozen. I pulled out the empeg and re-inserted it and it started playing again. After one minute the same thing as described above. The temperature was 35°C. Not very hot imho. I searched the forum but couldn't find anything similar. Other people having related problems had either high temperatures or could continue using the software, but without sound output.
Tony, is this on the internal bug list?

The only other times that has been reported were:

- A known bug in Beta 11 that was fixed in beta 13 is similar to that (but not exactly the same). What version of the player software are you running?

- Hardware problems.

I've had that happen to me, once, and only once. It was annoying, but I ignore that it happened since it hasn't done it again. Of course, now that I've said that, it'll happen on my way home today.

I have a feeling it was a corrupt file. I seem to have a few of those around, and I keep getting more and more... Might be that one of my drives is failing....great.

I'm running beta13. I'll have an eye on it. If it happens again I'd better contact support.
