Is there a way to get Shows off of a DishPVR and put them on your computer?
Does anyone know of equipment?
Mebbe a way to take them off of the internal HD on the unit and transfer them to a windows machine?

What model? The procedure varries a bit based on the different ones they have released.

I unfortunatly lost my PVR drive last night, right when I had hooked it into an external IDE cage for easy transporting to the PC for extraction. I had hooked up the cage, left to go eat, and came home to a really loud and annoyning drive. About 10 mins later the clicking of death came, and I wasn't able to salvage it. The good par though is I had a new drive in the PVR pretty quickly so I could watch TV again.

I have the unit that records for 60 hrs, not sure what model # it is, (I am @ work right now) but it is one that is also a receiver, and i got it two months ago.

Assuming it's a PVR 501 or 508, the utilities here should help. Dishplayer Explorer might be of interest as well for other video utilities, but I am pretty sure their extraction program only works on the older DishPlayer PVR units.

Mm.. probably the Linux based PVR that I worked (some) on.

If he got it two months ago, I doubt it's the newer Linux based 721. If it is, then as far as I know, people are still doing their initial hacking on it, and haven't gotten shows off of it yet.
