I don't suppose anyone has actually got it to run at a decent enough frame-rate to actually play it, hmm? I can't get anymore than 9fps. It's a damn impressive real-time rendered slideshow though, that's for sure.

9fps, ouch?!

I'm curious, what spec. system are you running? /me Is mentally preparing for the hardware upgrade when this ships.

Running 1024x768 full screen, I get between 1 (heh) and 15 FPS on my system. Oh dear. At 640x480 it’s more like 3-30 FPS, mainly around the 15 mark. When there is action on the screen, it is really slow, sometimes less than 1 FPS, but it doesn’t seem to register below 1.

My machine is an Athlon 1.333 with Geforce 2 Ultra, 512MB RAM. Not exactly brilliant these days but still...

Perhaps it should be measured in seconds per frame?

It almost looks decent for me for a few seconds, then drops to 1 frame a second when I got monsters around. But since my Radeon 8500 doesn't work in my new 2.4 gig machine for some reason, I am stuck with a Geforce II, so I didn't expect it to actually run all that well.

But man it looks good. It looks as good as a Warcraft cutscene....all the way through the game.

This thread is being locked, as I have to agree with ShackNews on this one.

Please don't bring it up again unless you have a legal copy of Doom III.
