Hey Guys,
I found this yesturday looking around at gtechpro meters. Its got a serial port, but the software is palm only. It would be neat if we could get some software running on the empeg for this. Anyways, just figured i would share the link.

I have the older GTech version. Works very well and matches my ¼ mile track times dead on.

Might have to get this new one with the PC interface.

What would an empeg interface buy us?

Seems pricey...

I have been looking at this for a while with a view to getting one - cost is £85 ($130) for the one that needs a host, and £120 ($185) for one that records 5 mins of data. I haven't investigated the specs but I very much doubt the data format is particularly complex (for people who know that sort of thing!)

Looks good but they talk about long it takes to do the wiring. The Gtech just plugs into the cigarette lighter and sticks on the window. One switch on the front does it all (at least on the non-pro meter).

You can get the non-pro meter for $139.95 from Summit Racing

I have the older one and really like it but it has no PC hook-up for graphs.

The nice thing is that it plugs into any car instantly. It will really shut someone up who thinks they have a 10 second machine.

Only be careful with the 60 to 0 tests. We ripped the brake pad out of my friend’s car with a massive stop and good traction, was fun.
