I bought this one one month ago, because of this thread.
Unfortunately, once I had fit it into my car, I noticed that it didn't go very well with the rest of the dash. So out it went.

This is the unit I'm talking about : Aiwa CDC-R227
It's a new unit and has only been installed for ONE day into the car. Just enough to check that everything worked as advertised.
For specs on this unit, please follow the above mentioned link or this one.

Asking price is 130 euro. Shipping is not included in this.

It will get shipped in it's original packaging and it's in mint condition.

If you've got any questions or want to buy it, PM or email me.

I'm sorry to hear that. Although, in my case I eventually changed my mind about Aiwa, too. But not because of how it looks in the car. It was a great entry-level unit, i.e., for someone who doesn't know much about car audio.

But now, I'm more like an "amateur enthusiast," and have decided to step up to a better model from another brand. And if I feel the need, I may even pick myself up an amp as well.

So not too long after Christmas (hopefully), I'll be selling my Aiwa, too. Sorry that one didn't work out for you.

Yeah. It was not that I didn't like the Aiwa. It was a pretty good model, and it had all the features I needed. Sounded pretty good too.

It was just absolutely NOT right for my dash. The downsides of online shopping I guess...

As you said, it's still a great entry level headunit, so I'm sure it'll make somebody happy.
