I'm urgently looking for a video file of Homer telling Lisa that "in this house we obey the laws of Thermodynamics" after she's built a perpetual motion machine.

Search your favorite P2P program for "The PTA Disbands". I could do it too and make a clip if you like.

My suggestion is to venture into DALNet IRC and join channel #simpsons-central and look for someone serving that episode (2F19.) Might have to hang around a while but all 300+ episodes are available there from time to time.

Well, I got the episode, but was unable to make a clip of it. The file I got seems to have been compressed in a strange way. Premiere didn't like it at all and wouldn't let me open it. Virtualdub didn't like it either...

I just finished downloading a 78MB asf file. Its quite good quality actually. Would never have found it without the episode name, thanks.

Oh, okay. you just needed the whole episode? If you want to send yours to me I can try putting it into Premiere and see if it likes it. Probably won't, though, because ASF is a PITA once it's compressed.

scratch that, I think I have the same file and it won't work.

I don't need the whole clip, just the one piece. I'll try to edit the bit with freeware stuff. I'll see how i go.

D'oh, found this thread too late. I'm about 15 episodes away from completing my Simpsons collection. Best place to get episodes is usenet. I did IRC for a while but that requires more work and less results (.rm as opposed to vcd or divx).

I have the episode, and the required editing tools. I will get a clip together shortly.

Here it is. I used TMPGEnc to grab the clip from the divx file I have, then I used Digital Video Producer to reduce its size down to 160x120. If you want a bigger copy let me know.
