I read This Article titled "Foul-mouthed maverick changed the art of war"

I'd never heard of this guy.

What he says sounds like inspired thinking compared to the crap we see some miltary leaders spouting these days...

The name sounds vaguely familiar, though I don't know why.

I have heard of the OODA loop, and we use it all the time to try to convey the benefits of digital connectivity on the battlefield. I seriously doubt I heard the name associated with the OODA loop though.

It was hard to parse that article, were they saying the F-16 was his concept? If so, I remember reading about him in the 70's and thinking the idea was pretty cool.

I kept looking for a "Next Page" link .

I have seen this book and I remember reading something about him in a book about the F-117. There's a fair amount of material available via Google.
