Too bad the European meet won't be before March 14th. United is offering $219 each way from D.C. to Amsterdam. This is much better than the $1200 round trip price I got last year, and the $850 round trip I am being quoted for this year on Iceland Air.

I am honest - if you guys have to pay that much for a mid summer flight then there is going to be very little chance of anyone attending from the States, is there? Dammit - I was hoping Jason and Melissa were going to be the spearhead.

Yes. My New Year's resolution was to go to every empeg meet in 2003.

The year is only 11 days old, and I've already been to one. Last year I did 3.

With better planning I hope to make a road trip of it. Didn't work out that way last year, what with the rain on the way out, and needing to be back when I did.

I wish I had the time and the money to go to all the meets. I'm just a poor working stiff

Maybe if I gave up eating, smoking, drinking anything but water and buying CDs I could afford to go.

My CD collection has more than tripled since buying my empeg. But I did have a very small collection to begin with.

Funny, my collection has increased infinity-fold, but I imagine you still bought more than me.
