I'd like to get my empeg to auto rsync at bootup and other things and would like it to display status messages on the screen (vfd) during this.

Now I already using Pim's rsync with the vfdlib hack, but I was hoping that someone has a general command like 'echo' or something that I can just send messages to the vfd with (with position/clear functions if possible)?

Download gpsapp, and take a look at some of the functions in draw.c
