Hello all, I have for sale a version 1.0 Evox D.6 Premodified Xbox that I would like to sell. The newest Evox D6 Bios supports originals, imports, backups, unsigned code, debug xbe, macrovision off, no patch hack, hdd swap, open xdk xbe, in game reset and some other great features. Basically anything that is available now, this modchip bios can do since it is the latest release. Xbox comes with standard av and power cables and 1 controller.
Installed legal applications that only run on modified Xboxes include: Xbox Media Player (Plays DIVX!, mpg, avi, mp3, dvds, vcds, svcd, pictures and runs applications. DVDx2 dvd player (watch dvds without purchasing the $30 dongle) Newest Evolution X Dashboard, which includes it’s own FTP Server so you can ftp to your xbox (like the empeg) and copy games to the drive or copy the dvd files to your computer and burn a dvdr backup. Many skins included for Evo Dashboard too. Emulators for Nintendo, SuperNES, N64, Genesis, Commodore64, Mame, Lynx, Amiga, Gameboy Advance and others (Roms not included, but very easy to obtain online). XBCopy, Boxplorer and HDD Loader installed so you can put in a xbox dvd game and copy it to your hard drive and run it from your hard drive without the disc.
I have also installed a modchip disable switch on the side of the xbox which will turn off the mod, and boot as a normal xbox. Most people charge an extra $20 for this switch installed. This is important if you want to use XboxLive online gaming. Note that you CAN NOT use xboxlive with backups or with the modchip on. The modchip must be disabled to use xblive or your box (eeprom) will be banned from their servers. There is also a program that you can run on your xbox now that will let you change your eeprom (like copy a friends or create your own) but I have not needed to use it.
With this xbox, it is possible to install the Xbox Linux Operating system, and even Windows 2000 using the emulator in Linux. I would recommend getting a bigger hard drive if you want to install linux though.
I am asking for $300 and prefer to sell to someone in Seattle and can deliver in person, but I will ship anywhere at actual shipping costs (about $20 in US). I prefer money orders but will accept paypal ONLY if you are VERIFIED and will only ship to a CONFIRMED SHIPPING ADDRESS. I have an extra controller that I can throw in for $15 and can also upgrade the hard drive to a 60gb HD for $100. You can run more games from your drive and can fit about 20-30 more games on a 60gb hard drive, or copy in your favorite divx movies and run from the xbox without any discs inside. Note that you can’t just throw in any hard drive to work with the xbox, it needs to be prepared correctly. There needs to be a c:\, e:\, f:\, x:\, y:\ and z:\ partition and they have to be certain sizes for the xbox to function correctly.
Please note, it is not illegal to own a modified xbox. It is the only way to run legal applications such as xbox linux and homemade software applications. I am not selling backup games or roms. Running cdrw or dvdr backups is legal granted you own the original. Just like having your mp3s on your empeg, I’m sure everyone owns the original CD.
