I recently got a Pocket PC and it came installed with a goodie called Nevo. It allows control of IR devices with a Pocket PC. After playing with it for awhile pointed at the Empeg, I was able to get button codes to appear in Hijack but the mappings were incorrect.

Has anyone played with this and got it to work? Would I need to re-map the config file to make this work?

Thanks.

Hi,

sounds interesting. Can I get this Nevo-program anywhere? Is it free?

regards,
Rolf

It comes embedded on the following devices apparently as found at www.mynevo.com.

iPAQ Pocket PC 3950 from HP
iPAQ Pocket PC 3970 from HP
iPAQ Pocket PC 5400 Series from HP
ViewSonic airPanel V110
ViewSonic airPanel V150

It's actually kinda cool. You can map a task that's like a script. For instance "watch DVD", turns on the tv, changes to channel 4, turns on the receiver, switches to video 1, turns on the DVD player, goes top menu and plays. I'm sure there are universal remotes that do similar things but this is pretty cool.

I did an RTFM this evening and found out this thing has a learning mode. This is what I came up with for my Empeg.
