My Mark2 had two disk drives: A 10 and a 6. I'm replacing the 6 with a 40 today.

Assuming the upgrade goes as planned, is anyone interested in the 6?

I dunno what it's worth monetarily. Make me an offer and we'll both find out.

Please:

- Offers by Private Message here on this BBS only. No e-mails please.
- US residents only, who would be willing to accept ordinary first-class-mail shipping. Easiest for me that way.
- PayPal payment preferred.

Originally, I was going to chuckle at this. But then it struck me that 6GB is still so much better and further ahead than what most of the major car audio manufacturers are doing...

Well I don't need any hd space on my empeg but maybe someday I will. I'll start the bidding at $20.

Did I mention that the drive is pre-formatted to empeg specification, and includes the slave jumper? Simply plug it in to the slave spot on a single-drive player, and you're 6 gigs richer. No mucking about with builder images. Opportunity of a lifetime.

Offer still stands at $20. Someone who needs the extra space should get their bid in Let me know if you don't get any other offers.

But does it have "Rush - La Villa Strangiato" on it? Wouldn't be worth having without that!

Sorry, music is already removed. Wanted to make sure everything was on the up-and-up, as it were.

I have a private offer that beats the current public offer. If I get no more offers during the middle of the day tomorrow, I'll go ahead and sell it to him.

Well, the bidding was fast, fierce, and furious. Private bidder has won the auction. Item is sold. Thanks for all of those bids!

All two of them...

Argh, I'm sorry to hear that! Hope the drive arrives soon!

By the way, it was mailed with the Slave jumper in place, so put the jumper sideways (instead of up and down) before installing it.

You could just remove the jumper, but then you'd lose it and never find it when the time came to add a second drive.

Just tape it to the empty spot (for the second drive) on the drive tray... Instantly available once it's time to upgrade.

And you'll never have Karen Allen as your girlfriend. What's your point?

I don't ever remember finding her remotely attractive.... even when the movie came out. Although Raiders of the Lost Ark is unquestionably the best of the three.

Drive arrived today.... much faster than expected... thanks.

There's a scene in Raiders where she's standing on the deck and the wind is blowing that silk dress...

Oh wait, I shouldn't be talking about such things with a Baptist minister...

Annnnyhooooo....

Glad you got the drive. Let me know how the installation goes! Hope it works well for you!

As I told the cashier at Victoria's Secret (upon her noticing the Rev. on the credit card) "I'm Baptist... I'm not repressed...."

"I'm Baptist... I'm not repressed...."

Q: Why don't Baptists make love standing up?

A: They're afraid people will think they're dancing.

A: They're afraid people will think they're dancing.

I've actually heard the punchline as: "They're afraid it might lead to dancing", which I think is even funnier.
