Pretty close. Basically, I'm normally in MP3 mode (I almost exclusively use NextSrc and not the remote). So I boot up in MP3 mode, hit knob->nextsrc and it goes straight to Aux and back forever.

Selecting the tuner previously with the remote or front panel semes to make no difference.
