Hello,

I'm going to install an Empeg into a '01 Honda Accord and I was wondering if anyone knows of a good installer in Southern California. I'm in Riverside, but I'm totally willing to drive out to LA or San Diego for a good install. I had a local guy install it in my truck and while everything works, things were still a little rough around the edges...

Thanks,
Ajay

PS. I know, I know... this is in the wrong forum, but I figured that there aren't very many people installing Empeg's anymore so I'm posting here just to get "maximum exposure".

I did mine in my 2000 accord all by my little lonesome, it wasn't that tough. With the Crutchfield master sheet, getting the existing stereo out was a breeze. The only hard part was running the wires down the side tunnel to the trunk for the amp and subwoofer. Lots of fiddling with upholstery, etc. for that part. But the dash install was a cinch. Pics of how it turned out here.

As long as you've got the master sheet, you're OK. The master sheet is worth its weight in gold because it tells you about some secret hidden screws and how to pop off certain panels without scratching the dash plastic.

I used a guy that operates a business called "Unleashed Audio" in Brea. His name is Jim and his number is 714-504-1574. I think that may be his cell number, but it's the only one I have. He was very helpful and does great work.

I had no idea there was another empeg so close, but on the install thing if you have the time and are willing to try it, its best to do it your self.

I've heard Beach Auto Sound in Huntington Beach is quite good. They do a lot of custom stuff, and were one of the first car audio shops in the country to carry the Neo line of MP3 players (meaning custom remote LCD install in every car).

Beach Auto sound are crooks and assholes ( i live across the st. from them), I used Al n' Ed's autosound, they did a great job of cutting out another DIN sized hole in my truck and installing the cage for me (and wires of course).
