I haven't yet, but it took about a day to get one when I ordered my Empeg, which is the only other thing I've ever ordered from Sonic Blue. I also believe that it says it will take 24-36 hours to ship somewhere on the website.

I am torn between:

a) calling and checking on the status of my order to see if they can expedite it and
b) letting it sit and hope it slips through an automated process

Somehow, I think b)...

Meanwhile, I still do not think we will really see these, so I would not recommend people get their hopes up too much. I will believe it (and start looking for folks who missed out) after they arrive at my door.

I'd also appreciate it if anybody could line me up for one since I missed it also.

Thanks.

I also got up too late! When I went to sleep there were zero new posts in this forum, then I wake up to 106!!

I'd gladly subsudize the shipping of one of these for your troubles!

Perhaps there was an employee at SB who knew they'd be let off soon and decided to screw the company

Well CRAP that's what I get for going to bed early. I missed out.

If they honor the purchases, I'll most definitely buy one from someone who got a batch.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. The song and dance has begun. The excuses I got was credit card, unable to re-instate the order due to software updates, the item may be out of stock, or some other problem on my end.

If anyone actually gets a shipment with an extra, I'll add my name to the list.

The funniest was the support person saying that they couldn't fix my orders because their software was being updated due to the bankruptcy! But it'll be back up tomorrow and she assured me the price would be the same. uh huh

I'm on the phone with support right now checking the status. I called the number on this support page for the Rio support and got an answering machine for Buddy at P's Plumbing. Interesting...

I then called the support number for the Rio Central from another page and he assured me that was the support number for Rio. Of course I have now found the right number but it's just interesting to note that Buddy has a number on SonicBlue's website.

Yes 3 orders and 3 confirmations at the time of order and then 5 hours later 3 cancellations. Maybe its how I entered the orders but I don't think so.

Eh it was fun for awhile...like the saying goes, It only takes a little greed to get a whole lot of stuff.

I'm sorry, but I just have to laugh at this whole concept. SonicBlue just barely was able to deliver on orders that people paid legitimate prices for... You guys somehow thought they'd be able to handle the orders that you paid $0.01 for? I'm not knocking you for trying, but some people are drifting way past "it would be kinda cool if..." into the territory of "If they don't deliver, I'm going to...." and that's just not reasonable thinking. Beyond SonicBlue's consistent lack of effort in ensuring adequate order fulfillment and pre-sale customer service, there are clear precedents for companies being very much in the right if they decide to cancel mispriced orders.

In other words, nice try, fellas, but get over it.

Yeah, that's kind of been my feeling right along too. Though I'm interested in what the laws regarding this type of thing are, I'd never make a big stink over not getting my penny's worth.

To be honest, I considered at first that this might be an actual legit pricing to dump inventory. Of course that was right after I'd woken up and hadn't fully come to grips with reality. After a nice shower and looking at other prices on the website that weren't reduced, I decided it must be a mistake (duh!).

Sonofa. Alright... on the way off ridiculous chance these orders go through... anyone have a spare for me?!

Hell, if the pricing mistake was a couple hundred or so, i'd still buy one.

In an interesting development, the Rio Central is no longer listed at all on the site. Not out of stock, just not there any more.

The number for Rio on that page works fine. What number did you call?

What number did you call?

205-515-1400 is the number that I called.

After a closer look, the 205 is actually 206
206-515-1400.

I guess I'm blind.

edit: But I'm sure Buddy would be grateful if the members of this board would call him with all of their plumbing needs!

Possibly not, as the jaunt down to Texas might be less than economical.

So i wonder if once this all gets sorted and no one gets their Central... will there be an empeg style fire sale? I'd definitely buy one of those suckers for a few bills. I hope i don't miss out on it if they do!

I'd like to register my interest if there is ever a firesale. If someone could order one for me when (if) this happens that'd be appreciated.

Rob, why won't they ship to UK?

I'm with you on that one. If they sold for half the price they're selling for now I'd pick one up in a heartbeat.

Because they don't have any mechanism in place to support customers in the UK would be my guess.

It wouldn't be the first time that the Central has disappeared from the estore pages completely.
