Having written two emails to Rob over the last week or so I haven't got a single reply. I appreciate that he's probably busy but how long does it take to post a quick message up here letting us all know what the current delay is down to. We haven't had an order invitation for nearly 2 weeks now!! Aaarrrrgggh.

Just mention that you are maybe not the only one asking for the invitation progress...

Be sure that he'll post in the announcements when he proceeds with invitation. And in my opinion the invitations go out quite quick..

Indeed, this does seem to have been the case in the past. However, right now there's a slowdown and all I want to know is why!

So Rob being on holiday would explain my lack of resonse frm him ;) Fair enough (could have had an auto reply on his account though). Is there a chance that someone from empeg can give us some kind of indication on what's happening?

The list progress *will* slow down as more people order players - which is more likely the higher queue number we get to (as it's more recent). We send out new invitations when the order stream slows down to the point where we have capacity to ship out more players.

a: The day you will next invite more people to buy
b: The number in the queue position we will be at on the above?

Well one thing I will say is that my reg# is in the 8700's. I didn't order until a few weeks after my invitation (I had to do a sanity check to see if I could afford it.) I ordered a little over a week ago and have not gotten a shipping confirmation. A quick email to [email protected] and I was notified that they were "expecting more stock in the next few days" which suggests that the players (or at least my particular flavor, 18GB blue) are out of stock right now. So it wouldn't make much sense for them to send out order invitations unless they had enough stock... right?

So I'm guessing it's going to be hit-or-miss until they get enough players to satisfy the existing demand...

I'm not asking for an invitation! I'm asking when I'm likely to get invited ;) There's a subtle difference. I'm within then next 300 in the queue so I'm hoping that I'll be included in the next invite.

Sorry, I don't know either of those; I'm on the techie side not on the commercial side so I'm not aware of all the variables in shipping units.

I was on holiday. Although orders are still coming in from the previous batch of clients, I suspect I'll be ready to invite the early 15,000's by Monday.

If there's a huge pile of work for me (after my absence) it may take a little longer to catch up and get to new clients. We're taking on a new sales person and a dispatch person next week, which will help us process orders more quickly.

My email was monitored by David and anything urgent should have got a response. I'm afraid checking on queue positions probably didn't qualify, though - he was rather busy covering for two of us that were away this week.
