Hi All,

I've been looking for a particular CD for years and have never been able to find it. It's an album that was used for the movie "Dead Calm" - with Billy Zane and Nicole Kidman (her first real role). A guy named Tim O'Connor did the music...

Any leads or MP3s?

Are you sure they ever made a soundtrack album for Dead Calm? AMG doesn't seem to show one, and GEMM doesn't have anything, either.

I think it's an album called "Run Over by Love" by Tim O'Connor. 3 songs from this CD were used in Dead Calm. So it's not REALLY a soundtrack for Dead Calm, just an album that had songs taken from it for the flick.

Can't find it. Need it...!

Judging by this, you are correct about the existence of the songs, but other than that, you've really hit on an obscure one there. I see absolutely no mention of that album anywhere, not even on Google, really. And the artist may or may not be one of the people listed in AMG (one under rock and one under country).

Well, I'm stumped!

Yeah, Billy Zane produced the album. I've been searching for it for years now...

I at least want to get the mp3s of the songs that were in the movie. One of the tunes, something about isopropyl alcohol, is so cool...

Someone has gotta find it!

I couldn't find any mention of any of them on iMesh. I couldn't find any of it anywhere online!

*edit*
well, I can find mentions of it, but nothing substantial.

I will make you a deal: I will find that soundtrack for you if you will collect and destroy every known copy of that movie!

Dead Calm wasn't bad. Not the greatest movie, sure, but entertaining enough....

One time my friend got to pick the movie, I actually saw this in the theater. It has been a long time, but I remember having an adverse reaction along the order of a moderate food allergy. Was it something about Kidman aloft standing on a spreader with her free hand raised Christopher Columbus-style to block the sun? I'm not sure exactly what it was, but at some point I distinctly remember rooting for Billy Zane.

Was it the dog? I was rooting the whole time for the dog to get killed.

Still a reasonably fun movie, I thought.
