Today a funny thing happened. I was cruising down the Dulles Tool Road (in Virginia) and when I went through the toll booth, the empeg reacted. It switched the source to auxillary. Also, when I put it back into player mode, it wouldn't play - it was as if it was stuck on pause, but I could not un-pause it. The only was I could get it to play again was to start another playlist.

Smart Tag is an automatic toll pay system like EZ-Pass or Fast Toll. I suspect that some signal from it caused the empeg to go crazy. Did anyone else have this experience?

Mmm. Sounds like stray IR. Quite a few toll booth systems use IR IIRC.

hasn't ever happened to me b/c I don't have an empeg installed in my car yet... but if you figure it out tell me ... I'm thinking of getting an empeg in my car (not just my boyfriend')s and use smart tag as it is.. so if you discover that the two conflict with each other... definately tell me... thanx
