This is just a personal distinction, however it would seem to catch the feelings of the quiz. Braces are dapper pieces of men's fashion that button inside of a man's pants therefore allowing the pants to hang correctly as opposed to being cinched into place. Suspenders have big alligator clips that destroy you pants. Suspenders are geeky... braces are not.

of course if you were wearing suspenders in England, you wouldn't be a geek, only a cross dresser
